  2. PS4 Drop Zone Tournament One Rules

    1. Gameplay and Teams

      1. Any of the game’s 11 primary weapons can be used. #
      2. Any Star Card hand can be used. #
      3. Any Trait can be used. #
      4. Any player can switch between their hand and second hand as much as they like during a map. #
      5. Players are allowed to use their partner’s hand as much as they want during a map. #
      6. If two competing teams agree to ban, limit, or restrict a thing or things in a given battle, then they are allowed to proceed in playing the match with the given, agreed upon, things limited in whatever ways the contestants specified. #
      7. This kind of agreement is known as a gentleman’s agreement. #
      8. Gentleman’s agreements can include what Star Cards/traits/weapons/team sizes/items/maps should be allowed, limited, restricted, or banned. #
      9. A gentleman’s agreement conversation should absolutely take place in the forum topic for the given matchup. #
      10. If a gentleman’s agreement conversation took place via other forms of communication, it must otherwise be able to be proven and verified as agreed to by both teams. #
      11. If teams cannot both agree to remove things from the match, then the rules will fall back to the official default rules for this tournament, which allows anything to be used. #
      12. Any gentleman’s agreement can be made so long as both teams agree, within reason. #
      13. For example teams should not gentleman’s agreement to determine their match via another game or game mode. Contestants must be playing Dice’s Star Wars Battlefront EA, and competing teams must also be playing Drop Zone. #
      14. It is up to team captains to ensure that their team members are aware of and agree to the conditions of the match. If a member violates a gentleman’s rule on a map, it will result in a map forfeit. #
      15. The only way to determine if a gentleman’s agreement has been violated, without an admission of guilt, is with clear evidence of the act occurring. #
      16. The minimum size allowed for a battle in this tournament is 4v4. The maximum that the game allows for in Drop Zone is 8v8. #
      17. Any higher than a 4v4 is optional for teams, even if the match is initially planned as higher than a 4v4. The default match size is 4v4, meaning you cannot “force” opposing teams to use additional members past the 4 person per team point, even if they have additional members available. #
      18. Teams may change their line up between maps as much as they want, so long as the subs are listed on their roster and they are eligible to play. #
      19. The battle size can be increased between maps, but only if both teams agree. #
      20. No ringing allowed whatsoever. Only players whose PSN account names appear on your team's roster, which was submitted at the beginning of the tournament, may play in tournament matches. #
      21. Teams may alter their roster as they wish, with no restrictions as long as it is done before the start of the tournament. #
      22. A team may not add a player to their roster who is currently listed on another team’s roster. The player must leave their original team first. #
      23. Teams may add additional players to their rosters after the tournament start date, but they may not play in the current round that the tournament is on. #
      24. They may play in the next round of the tournament and in all rounds after that. #
      25. If a player leaves a team, they may not play in a match for a different team in this tournament. #
      26. If a Drop Zone map ties, the same map is replayed with the same factions. #
      27. This means that players will need to leave the server and remake the lobby to replay the map because factions are usually automatically switched if the map rotation box is unchecked. #
      28. If someone lags out, loses internet or disconnects from PSN in the middle of a map, only the player that lagged out may come back during the map if they are able to. Teams continue to play on in this situation. #
      29. If someone lags out, loses internet or disconnects from PSN before or immediately after the white circle signifying the start of the match completes itself, the lobby must be remade, and the map restarted. #
      30. In the event that this occurs to your teammate, you must make it abundantly clear to the opposing team team that your teammate was unable to connect to the match. This should be done by respawning (by pressing the OPTIONS button on your PS4 controller and selecting Restart) and crouching. Demonstrate absolutely no fighting back and leave the match. Then message the opposing team’s leader about what happened and re-make the lobby. #
      31. If Playstation Network, or DICE's servers go down for everyone in the match, or if the private lobby crashes during a map for everyone in the game, the map is replayed. #
      32. If there is any dispute as to who should host the private lobby, because of what region the server is in, then the higher seeded team may host the first map, the lower seeded team may host the second map, and the higher seeded team may host the last map. This will usually only apply to international teams. #
      33. Teams may also choose to compromise by picking a matchmaking region which is in between the general location of the two teams. To do this go into the game settings and choose EA Account from the menu. You can then change your matchmaking region. We are not 100% sure how private servers are hosted at the time, but this may help slightly. #
      34. Attempting to alter or interrupt an opponent’s internet connection is strictly prohibited, and if proof, within reasonable doubt, can be obtained of this occurring, the perpetrator will be prohibited from participating in this competition and competitions in the future. #
      35. No cheating. #
      36. If any map is disputed, and there is not enough clear evidence from either side to settle the dispute, the map is replayed. #
      37. If any match is disputed, and there is not enough clear evidence from either side to settle the dispute, the match is replayed. #
      38. If DICE release a patch for the game during the course of the tournament, the tournament will continue uninterrupted. #
      39. We reserve the right to make an emergency change to a rule. For example this probably would only be done if DICE accidentally introduced a detrimental problem into the competition via a bug or other intended or unintended problem. #
      40. Breaking or not following any rule may rule may result in a map forfeit or match forfeit. #
    2. Logistics

      1. Players will be expected to, at the very least, take a screenshot of the post game screen which includes the result of the map and the statistics of each player in the battle. This must also be done on tied maps. #
      2. This can be done extremely easily by holding the SHARE button on your PS4 controller for three seconds. #
      3. This can also be configured with your PS4’s settings to make the SHARE button take screenshots with one button press. #
      4. These screenshots are the minimum requirement needed as proof of a map, and thus a match, occurring. #
      5. It is preferential that there be a streamed or recorded video of the battle. This can be on either Twitch or Youtube, or as a file on your PS4’s hard drive. All of these options can be done via your PS4’s SHARE button menu. #
      6. The PS4 automatically records a video of a certain amount of time back in your play session. You can use this video if you forgot to take a screenshot. You can also make the time window longer in the PS4’s settings. #
      7. Team captains and co-captains will be invited to a to a PS4 community which has been made just for submitting match screenshots and videos. #
      8. Roster updates and changes may also be posted in this community. #
      9. Match score screenshots and video files will also be allowed to be linked to in the “Report Match Scores” button at the top of the site, or posted in the forums. #
      10. We will be keeping individual statistics for this tournament. This will be done via the post game screenshots. #
      11. If a team forfeits a match, stats are not recorded for the teams in that match. #
      12. If two teams play a match and have agreed upon the victor, but neither team has videos or screenshots of map scores for a given map, both teams’ members will incur an individual statistics penalty. #
      13. Teams may not change their names or tags once the first round of the tournament has begun. #
      14. Teams may not register for this tournament with the exact same tag or name as another existing team in the tournament. #
    3. Format

      1. This tournament will be a standard double elimination tournament with random seeding. #
      2. The seeds will be random because this is our first competition on this game. #
      3. The only alteration we would make to the random seeds is to try an keep teams with vastly different time zones from meeting early on in the bracket. This only applies to international teams. #
      4. Make sure your team members have the free Battle of Jakku DLC downloaded for this tournament because Goazan Badlands is one of the playable maps. #
      5. The battles will be only Drop Zone and will consist of best 2 out of 3 map wins constitutes a battle win. #
      6. The map selection process will work as follows: #
      7. The higher seeded team (the team favored to win) will select one map from the eight available drop zone maps to be played as the first map in the battle. #
      8. The lower seeded team (the team not favored to win) will also select one map from the remaining seven available to be played as the second map in the battle. They may not choose the same map that was chosen first by the higher seeded team. #
      9. The lower seeded team will also choose what faction they would prefer to play as on the higher seeded team’s map. #
      10. The higher seeded team will then pick what faction they would prefer to play as on the lower seeded team’s map. #
      11. The final map will be determined by the higher seeded team offering three additional maps as the potential tiebreaker map. #
      12. These three maps map not be the same map as either of the two already selected maps. They also must be unique amongst themselves. #
      13. The lower seeded team will then get to pick from the selection of these three maps, what they would like the tiebreaker map to be, by banning two of the maps and selecting the remaining one. #
      14. The higher seeded team will then get to pick the faction of their choice for the tiebreaker map. #
      15. An example of this process is shown here: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=646 #
      16. We will post a schedule that will be subject to change for how long each round should take. Teams are encouraged to play as soon as they are able to and to advance the bracket as quickly as possible. This will be pretty flexible. #
      17. If two teams are unable to find a time when both are able to play, then an extension may happen where the two clan leaders agree on final possible date and time for the match, and if one team is unable to play during this time then forfeits will be necessary. #
      18. This tournament will award BFC Points to the top 8 teams in the tournament which may be used in power rankings and seedings for later competitions. #
  3. SWBF2 (PS2) Rules

    1. Server Rules

      1. Server must be a paid-for (no downloaded servers) #
      2. Team Damage on #
      3. Preferentially set Admin Messages Off #
      4. 120 second warm-up timer #
      5. 3 second spawn invincibility #
      6. Reinforcement count needs to be between 300 and 450 (200 vs European teams) #
      7. Conquest timer at 60 minutes #
      8. All EU vs US clan matches will be done in a New York (US) server, however EU will ALWAYS get to pick 3 maps #
    2. Game Play

      1. Death Star, Tantive, and Polis Massa CTF maps may be picked, but not any other CTF maps unless agreed upon by both clans. A clan can only pick a maximum of two CTF maps. #
      2. Death Star CTF is a 30 minute first to 3 map during the regular season. In the playoffs the timer becomes a 1 hour map to a score of 3. Tantive IV CTF is always 30 minutes first to 5 flags. #
      3. If the score is tied 2-2-1 (tie on a CTF map) at the end of a best of 5, a 6th map is chosen in continuing alternating fashion (whoever picked map 4, picks map 6). Additionally, clans may agree to settle the tied map by playing it again as no timer first to 1 sudden death. This applies even if the CTF map that tied was not 5th map in a best of 5 battle. In the regular season, with only a 30 minute DS CTF, a tie can be taken for 2 standings points or a 30 minute sudden death DS CTF can be played then a 6th map. The playoffs go straight to a 6th map (no ties allows overall). #
      4. In the case that a CTF map ties, and it is not the fifth map of a best of five, the battle moves on to the next map. If the rest of the battle is played out and the score remains tied at 2-2-1 the above rule is used to break the tie (either picking a 6th map or agreeing to play the tied map until a victor is decided). If a team reaches 3 map wins after a tie on the first map the battle ends as a 3-0 with the opposing clan receiving -2 points. Ties do not count as a won map. #
      5. Galactic Civil Era only, unless both teams agree #
      6. Minimum size for a battle is 3v3, preferable is 4v4 #
      7. 3v3 battles cannot have the following maps: Hoth, Endor, Dagobah, Kashyyyk, Kamino, Felucia, Death Star (conquest), Naboo, and Yavin #
      8. If your clan has 4 members available - they must make it a 4v4 #
      9. Any higher than a 4v4 is optional, even if it is planned as higher than a 4v4. the default is 4v4. #
      10. If at any point someone lags out, only the player that lagged out may come back during the map #
      11. If a player drops mid match and no replacement can be found, the team that did NOT lose the player chooses which class to drop. Even if the battle is a 5v5, 2 snipers, the clan that still has 5 members can choose to drop the engineer, grunt, or rocket if they prefer and keep the 2 snipers #
      12. If at any point someone lags out, both sides play on unless it is before the first spawn of the map (sometimes the server lags users out right as the warm-up timer hits zero, this will require a replayed map) #
      13. No glitching #
      14. No using command post light to switch your unit to give it invincibility or to instantly reload #
      15. No super pistoling (switching rapidly between the rifle and pistol while firing), no super detpacking, No Tanks, No turrets (autoturrets are allowed) #
      16. No switching classes at all in a class specific battle (ex. You cannot switch to engineer for health/ammo. However you can swap with a teammate in between maps. You can also sub players between maps.) #
      17. Other specific terms about class restrictions must be agreed upon before the battle: i.e. can a "flex" switch between its optional classes during a map or only between maps. Another example is can a player chose to revert to a non-special class in battle involving specials. If a dispute occurs because the terms were not agreed upon before the battle begins, the map in which the dispute arises is replayed. #
      18. No space walking AT ALL (Polis Massa) #
      19. Any map in the Galactic Civil War era may be picked #
      20. The team that posts the topic first picks whether they want 3 unique maps or 3 factions (besides EU, which always gets the option) #
      21. A spectator is required, any disputes that cannot be figured out by staff will be replayed if it was without a spectator approved by both clans #
      22. It is preferrential to have a video recording spectator #
      23. If a team is unable to field enough players for a battle, they may ask the opposing team if they will allow a ringer. Maximum amount of 1 ringer per team. There is no ringing allowed in the playoffs or gauntlet. #
      24. During the warm-up timer, do not kill players on the opposing team. (The reason for this is because if you get any rewards in the warm-up timer, it will translate to the actual map.) If this happens once by accident, it's fine. However, if a player is deliberately killing players on the other team and gets awards then it will result in a forfeit of the map. #
      25. If Hoth is a chosen map, make sure to clarify prior to the battle, whether or not spawning in at the AT-ATs and Shield Generator will be permitted.
Also teams need to clarify beforehand if using Tauntauns or not will be allowed for the map. #
      26. Excessive destruction and repairing of the bomb beacon or the turret on Hoth or the turbine on Tantive IV or Gate Wench on Kashyyyk to get award weapons is not allowed. #
      27. If a player leaves before the stat screen, his score will be recorded in that stat sheet as 0-10 for that map. If a player repeatedly leaves before the end screen, a stiffer punishment may be issued. #
      28. If a player leaves a clan it is up to the leader or leaders of the clan the player left if said player should incur a temporary restriction from participation in battles. This restriction lasts for 5 days. #
      29. If 3v3, default classes are grunt/sniper, rocket, engineer unless agreed upon by both teams to do differently, the grunt/sniper by default will be able to swap between these 2 classes at any time within a map #
    3. Point System

      1. +1 for win #
      2. -2 for loss #
      3. +1 for every map won #
      4. -3 for refusal to play/forfeit (subject to suspension from ladder) #
      5. +x (variable points based on conditions of forfeit) for 'winner' of a forfeit #
      6. Clans may not play the same clan again more than 2 times in a night (approx. maximum of 2 battles every 18 hours vs. same opponent) #
      7. If a clan has a long outstanding challenge with another clan, they are encouraged to play that clan as soon as they are available to play rather than playing other opponents. Similarly clans should not attempt to game the system by purposefully playing matches against only specific opponents or even repeatedly intentionally throwing individual maps or whole battles. #
    4. PlayOffs

      1. 4 clans make playoffs automatically #
      2. This will be a double elimination post season with the #1 seed matching up against the #4 seed, and #2 seed matching up against the #3 seed to open. Round 2 will feature the winners versus each other and the losers versus each other. Round 3 will feature the winner of the losers game versus the loser of the winners game, and then the championship will feature the winner of the round 3 game versus the winner of the round 2 winners match-up with the winner of the round two matchup needing to "lose twice". This match will be played first to six map wins with the team that has not lost yet starting off with 3 map wins to their credit. Maps may not be duplicated in this championship round. #
      3. The higher ranked team, no matter if they have lost in the post season or not, will get choice of 3 maps/3 factions. In the championship, the higher ranked team will get to choose whether to pick more maps or more factions. #
      4. To be eligible for the playoffs, you must have at least 4 wins and 10 matches played (exceptions may have to be made based on activity) #
      5. Playoffs start date is July 14th. No battles occurring after midnight eastern time on July 14th will count. Battles that were started before midnight may count. #
      6. Playoff rosters lock at the end of June. #
      7. Tie Breakers

        1. Head-to-Head Record #
        2. Win % #
        3. Map Win % #
        4. Play-in Game #
      8. Tie Breakers (3-way+)

        1. Win % #
        2. Map Win % #
        3. Play-in Game(s) #
  4. PC Jedi Tournament Rules

    1. Gameplay Rules

      1. Three members per team. #
      2. One sub is allowed per side. #
      3. Play to 30 each side. #
      4. 30 minute timer per side, if the side ends prematurely score is recorded. (ex. the score is 25-25 when the timer is up, that is recorded as a tie) #
      5. You must have every team member play at least 3 matches to be playoff eligible. #
      6. 1 choker. #
      7. 1 Luke. #
      8. No shooters. #
      9. No pulling. (Unless both sides agree to it, if so it is double.) #
      10. No glitching. #
      11. No excessive high camping. (To clarify this means sitting on a building for more than 2 minutes.) #
      12. No intentionally team killing, suiciding, or respawning. (Unless agreed to then, then and ONLY then is team killing permitted. This rule also includes leaving the map.) #
      13. The only infinite allowed is choke. (No infinite run or block.) #
      14. No excessive trash talking. #
      15. If all 6 are present and teams want to 3v3 they can, score is raised to 50 each side then. #
      16. If you tie in a match it is a tie, for instance 55-55 final score is recorded as a tie. #
      17. A spectator must be present, this spectator will also time the sides to 30 minutes each. #
      18. Please be respectful. #
    2. Format

      1. Regular season that lasts for a month, this means you have a month to get at least 6 matches in. (Assuming you do 3 with one pair and 3 with another) #
      2. Playoffs once season is ended, top four teams moving on. #
      3. 1-4 seed, and 2-3 seed play each other respectively, this is a best of 3. #
      4. Third place match will be played between the losers, this is a best of 3. #
      5. Finals are between the winners, also a best of 3. #
  5. PC Conquest Tournament Rules

    1. Server Rules

      1. Server must be a paid-for (no downloaded servers) #
      2. Team Damage set to On #
      3. Preferentially set Admin Messages Off #
      4. Waiting for Players Set to On #
      5. 1 second spawn invincibility #
      6. Reinforcement count needs to be between 300 and 450 #
      7. Conquest timer set to 60 minutes #
      8. CTF timer set to 30 minutes #
      9. All EU vs US clan matches will be done in a New York (US) server, however EU will ALWAYS get the voice to pick either 3 maps or 3 factions #
      10. Any performance enhancing mods are banned such as Blue mod, Clear mod, swapping classes anywhere on the map and etc. If we suspect you of using these mods we will ask for a in-game screen shot. The sniper reticule mod is the only allowed mod for this tournament. #
    2. Game Play Rules

      1. Galactic Civil War Era only, unless both teams agree to play a Clone Wars map, any map in the Galactic Civil War era may be picked #
      2. All CTF Maps are allowed #
      3. CTF capture limit is 3, time limit is 30 minutes #
      4. Death Star CTF is a 30 minute first to 3 map during the regular season. In the playoffs the timer becomes a 1 hour map to a score of 3. #
      7. Minimum size for a battle is 3v3, preferable is 4v4 #
      8. 3v3 battles cannot have the following maps: Hoth, Endor, Mos Eisley, Dagobah, Kashyyyk, Kamino, Felucia, Death Star (conquest), Naboo, and Yavin #
      9. If your clan has 4 members available - they must make it a 4v4 #
      10. Any higher than a 4v4 is optional, even if it is planned as higher than a 4v4. the default is 4v4 #
      11. If at any point someone lags out, only the player that lagged out may come back during the map #
      13. If at any point someone lags out, both sides play on unless it is before the first spawn of the map (sometimes the server lags users out right as the warm-up timer hits zero, this will require a replayed map) #
      14. No glitching #
      15. No Infinite sprinting (Results in automatic forfeit) #
      16. No using command post light to switch your unit to give it invincibility or to instantly reload #
      17. No super pistoling (switching rapidly between the rifle and pistol while firing), no super detpacking, No Tanks, No turrets (autoturrets are allowed) #
      18. No switching classes at all in a class specific battle (ex. You cannot switch to engineer for health/ammo. However you can swap with a teammate in between maps. You can also sub players between maps.) #
      20. No space walking AT ALL (Polis Massa) #
      21. The team that posts the topic first picks whether they want 3 maps or 3 factions #
      22. A spectator is required, any disputes that cannot be figured out by staff will be replayed if it was without a spectator approved by both clans #
      23. It is preferential to have a video recording spectator #
      24. If a team is unable to field enough players for a battle, they may ask the opposing team if they will allow a ringer. Maximum amount of 1 ringer per team. There is no ringing allowed in the playoffs. #
    3. Point System

      1. +1 for win #
      2. -2 for loss #
      3. +1 for every map won #
      4. -3 for refusal to play/forfeit (subject to suspension from ladder) #
      5. +x (variable points based on conditions of forfeit) for 'winner' of a forfeit #
      6. Clans may not play the same clan again more than 2 times in a night (approx. maximum of 2 battles every 18 hours vs. same opponent) #
      7. If a clan has a long outstanding challenge with another clan, they must play that clan as soon as they are available to play rather than playing other opponents. If a clan does have the members available to play, and then chooses to play other opponents, this is considered an act of battle dodging. If this act of dodging occurs 3 times against the same team, the clan will incur -3 points from a forfeit. Subsequent acts of dodging will result in the penalty being doubled to -6 points, -12 points and so on. #
