See the links above for a picture and video example of how multi mode tournaments work and why it is by far the most competitive and most balanced tournament. This is not the only game to where there are stronger teams on certain game modes. It's nothing out of the ordinary..
Like I said in the other thread when we were coming up with which Multi-Mode format to put on the poll, I really don't think the difference is big enough to say that it would be "by far the most competitive". I do think it would force there to be more variety for better or for worse. However many might not want variety for the sake of variety, though I think it could make things interesting. I also think many teams would take issue with the staff picking the maps and being forced to play Droid Run in every match. I personally do not think Droid Run is that bad of a mode, but I think many teams don't think it belongs in clan matches for whatever reason.
Maybe if we include a similar format in the next poll it would win if it is up against Cargo, but I'm not sure.

Before we know it the beta for Battlefront 2 will be out and we will on move on. And throwing out another idea for our last BF1 tournament ---it would be a cool idea to have a CLASS ONLY Tournmanent to end out SWBF1, something to where we have 4 players with preset classes similar to the infantry, specialist, heavy gunner and officier on a multi mode tournament layout. Not only will it prepare everyone for BF2 but it sounds really fun.
I do think this is a cool idea. @ =BA=Deadman
actually proposed this idea around the time of Cargo 1 and earlier I think. I have heard of some of the PC players doing some mixed scrimmages like this too. I was also going to add a class specific category to our open ladder but didn't wind up doing it because of how few people actually play on the ladder. The hard part is coming up with the classes / trying to make them somewhat balanced. It's okay if some are better than others in a class restricted format, but hopefully there wouldn't be too big of a gap.
You guys can play whatever mode you want in scrimmages. Just communicate with your opponents about it. Yes, most teams are gonna want to play a certain mode but you can always ask for other modes. Also I think it's too soon to even talk about moving to the next game yet, but I will say we won't be stopping SWBF 3 tourneys when the beta for the next game is out, most likely we would stop when the game is fully out. But even then we might continue on with this game if there is enough interest and/or if DICE makes the same mistakes again to the extent that we don't have a choice.
